Medi-Dx 7000
The Medi-Dx 7000 is a diagnostic device that allows the quantitative
detection of various sensory neurological impairments caused by various pathological
conditions or toxic substance exposures. The subject population for whom this device
can be used for diagnostic purposes includes any individual capable of communicating
the perception of cutaneous sensation.
The Medi-Dx 7000 diagnostic examination may be conducted as part of the neurological
examination or for screening to detect peripheral neuropathies. Conditions associated with neurological sensory dysfunction:
Compression/Trauma:

of spinal nerves.
• Focal Lesions

insufficiency produced by the retention in blood of nitrogenous substances normally excreted
by the kidney.
• Thyrotoxicosis - A toxic condition due to hyperactivity
of the thyroid gland.
• Hypothyroidism - A condition due to deficiency
of the thyroid secretion, resulting in a lowered basal metabolism.
• Organic Solvents

nervous system. Symptoms include severe pain, usually burning in quality,
